This weeks theme at Total Body Blast was Core and Cardio. Individual core exercises were followed by team cardio games including the playground favourite of “tag”. Team Games and More... Keeping cardio fun and interactive by playing team games encourages us to keep exercising. Team games also help push us to work harder, either because of a competitive streak or because we don’t want to let our team down. Playground games are not just for kids - when we have fun exercising it never becomes a chore. In order to reach our fitness goals exercise needs to be engaging and interesting or we lose our motivation. Core exercises are not just about strong abs. Every Total Body Blast class is based on our clients, their needs and is tailored to get the most out of the workout. Extreme HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) are the exercises used in the Total Body Blast class meaning you get the most out of the workout session. Equipment such as Slam Ball or Dynabands are sometimes used in Total Body Blast and add another dimension to the workout. Smart Fitt Fitness are introducing two new Bootcamp classes from May through to September 2018. Family Bootcamp and Adult Bootcamp classes bring a mix of individual, partner and team exercises and games. The two venues will be Lawrence Park Community Centre in Thrulby and The Centre at Elsea Park in Bourne.
What is Bootcamp? Bootcamp is simple exercises that are quick to master. Bootcamp links fun circuits, motivating workouts, stamina focused exercises with high intensity interval training. It is a combination of circuit warm-ups that are short bursts of exercise separated by short rests. What is Bootcamp great for? Bootcamp is great for Improving your fitness, increasing your stamina and burning calories, an enjoyable exercise to help motivate and boost your metabolism. Studies have shown that a "thing' to become a habit it has to be done a minimum of seven times. But what happen if, two weeks into that expensive gym membership you realise that actually you don't enjoy the gym environment. In order that something become a habit it needs to be enjoyable. I challenge anyone to say that exercise isn't enjoyable. If you are one of these people who do think that exercise isn't enjoyable then you just haven't found the right sort of exercise!
