This weeks theme at Total Body Blast was Core and Cardio. Individual core exercises were followed by team cardio games including the playground favourite of “tag”. Team Games and More... Keeping cardio fun and interactive by playing team games encourages us to keep exercising. Team games also help push us to work harder, either because of a competitive streak or because we don’t want to let our team down. Playground games are not just for kids - when we have fun exercising it never becomes a chore. In order to reach our fitness goals exercise needs to be engaging and interesting or we lose our motivation. Core exercises are not just about strong abs. Extreme HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) are the exercises used in the Total Body Blast class meaning you get the most out of the workout session. Equipment such as Slam Ball or Dynabands are sometimes used in Total Body Blast and add another dimension to the workout.
